Yesterday we went to the mall and I got Calvin measured at Stride Rite. He should be wearing a 5 now and his old sneakers are a 4 and the sole I coming off. So, after some sale bin rummaging, I found him some cute OshKosh size 5 sneakers and a pair of 6 sneakers that light up from The Children's Place.
When we got home last night we were playing a game where I set him standing and let go of him. He stood by himself and was utterly shocked that he was able. I tried to get him to walk toward me, but he would take half a step and sit.
He wore his new shoes to day care today and when I picked him up he walked toward me!!!! It was maybe in the top 5 best moments of my life. I seriously felt like a million bucks. David was at home, so I called him as we were leaving and he got to see it when we got home.

ReplyDeleteYay! It is a pretty amazing moment the first time your baby walks!!! You will have to get him some squeaker shoes :). Kids loves those and you can remove the squeakers for when they start to drive you crazy.
